Lucasville Community Park · Phase 4
The Path Starts With a Wall.
The walking path can’t be built until the hillside is held back. Phase 4 funds the retaining wall that makes the ground stable enough to build on.
The path can’t be built until the hillside is held.
The shelter house is standing. The amphitheater is hosting events. The playground is full of kids. Three phases of Lucasville Community Park are complete — and the walking path is next.
But the path corridor runs along a hillside that isn’t stable enough to build on. Before a single foot of trail can be laid, that slope has to be cut back and retained. Phase 4 builds the retaining wall that does it.
Without the wall, there is no path. The wall is what makes the ground buildable.
Because the wall sits at the park entrance, we’re finishing it in stone — so it also becomes the permanent landmark you see above. One structure, two jobs, $25,000.
Give what you can.
Every gift goes toward the wall — the thing that makes the path possible. All gifts welcome, no ceiling on generosity.
